Ripe strawberry, cherry and complex savoury, earthy notes.
Medium bodied, cool climate Pinot Noir with layers of rich cherry, raspberry and red fruits, underlined with hints of earthy and herbaceous notes. Tightly structured and youthful with fine tannins and very good length.
2019 was an excellent year all round. Yields were very low and intense flavours developed across all varieties. The colour in this Pinot gives a good indication of the season as it is unusually dark and intense.
This wine was crafted using wild yeast, which promotes complexity and texture in the final drop due to it’s slightly unpredictable nature. Matured in oak for 6 months, in a mixture of 2-3 year old French Oak puncheons and 150 year old English Oak casks.
