Vibrant stone fruit, rock melon and hints of citrus and almond.
Palate
Full bodied yet fresh, an elegant combination of varietal pear, apple and delicate stone fruit flavours with hints of zesty citrus and tropical fruits on a clean, crisp finish.
2022 was cooler year with late top-ups of rain. Like its name, ‘little rascal’, Arneis grapes can be fussy. However our Arneis loved the cooler conditions this vintage and absolutely shone with great acid retention and lovely concentrated flavours.
The Arneis fruit was picked from Block 10 of our Upton Run vineyard with a selective harvester on 25 March then gently crushed and fermented in stainless steel, to promote primary fruit flavours and aromas. A carefully selected cultured yeast was used to encourage aromatic fruity characters and palate texture.
