Farm to Table

Farm to Table 2017 Shiraz

As dedicated grape and sheep farmers we have deep respect for provenance, husbandry and craftmanship in food and wine. Straight from the farm, these wines embody our connection to the land and our enjoyment of it through quality food and wine. Farm to Table wines are bright, generous and carefully blended to complement the softer texture of farm raised meat.

This shiraz is a bright and youthful red colour with some rich purple hues. On the nose are aromas of plum, raspberry, chocolate and oak spice. The palate is full with flavours of plum pudding and red fruits.

Fermented in stainless steel to preserve the vibrancy of primary fruit flavours, before maturing for 9 months in a combination of French (70%) and American (30%) oak.

A wine to enjoy now - 2022.

Our warehouse will be closed from the 19th December 2020 until the 3rd of January 2021. Orders during this time will not be dispatched until after the 4th of January.

Wine Making

2017 was a very cold year; one of the latest seasons for many years. These cool conditions produced lighter and finer style red wines.

Blended from shiraz parcels from three distinctly different Central Victorian vineyards including our own in the Strathbogie Ranges as well as Tallis Vineyards and Boort Estate. This varied ripening times has provided added complexity to the final wine.
