Lindsay Brown spent 17 years as a research scientist at the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories in Melbourne before becoming a winemaker.
In 2001 Lindsay completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Wine Science) at Charles Sturt University before working at Rutherglen Estates Winery in Victoria and later Miranda Wines in Griffith, New South Wales where he rose to become Senior Winemaker.
Lindsay joined Fowles Wine in 2006 bringing with him considerable experience of crafting red and botrytised (sweet) wines and a passion for Central Victorian Shiraz. As well as being a talented wine maker, Lindsay is also the main contact for smaller wineries for which we make wine on behalf of. Lindsay is currently on the Victorian Wines Show Committee. He lives with his partner Marta on Upton Hill near the winery and is a dedicated supporter of the Melbourne Football Club.
