Pale straw with a hint of green.
Aromas of peach, nectarine, lemon tart and honey toasted oak.
A medium to full bodied Chardonnay, with nice stone fruits, a creamy texture, complex integrated oak and ripe Chablis style.
Single Vineyard, Strathbogie Ranges 2018 was an excellent vintage. A mild to warm season. Moderate rainfall at the right times made for ideal growing conditions. We picked the grapes at 12.7 Baumé (a measure of sugar) which is an ideal level of sugar for a medium to full bodied Chardonnay.
The wine was matured in a range of French oak puncheons from different coopers, spending 9 months on yeast lees during this time, providing the creamy, soft mid palate. 30% of the wine was in new barrels with the remainder in 3-year-old puncheons.
