Single Vineyard, Strathbogie Ranges Vineyard: Billi’s Block G Clones: SA125 and G9V3

Winemaking

The fruit, from our Billi’s Vineyard, Block G, was harvested using a selective processor on 15 April 2020. After gentle crushing, the juice was fermented with wild yeast in sweeping arm, stainless steel fermenters and kept on skins for one week to achieve a ideal fruit concentration and texture. The wine was matured in older French oak 500L puncheons for 18 months with two rounds of racking to add palate weight.

Nose

Perfumed blackberry and dark fruits with hints of mint and vanilla from oak.

Palate

Juicy blackberry and intense dark fruits balanced by hint of cassis, some savoury, herbaceous notes and enhanced by fine tannins to give a rich, smooth finish.
