Growing grapes, hunting for our table and raising a farm all help our family to truly understand this land. Inspired by Matt Fowles’ passion for hunting and gathering, our Ladies who Shoot their Lunch wines have been crafted to complement the textures and flavours of wild food. Vibrant in colour, intensely aromatic and fine in texture with pristine fruit flavours, these wines are a window into the wild for the curious, instinctive, perceptive and discerning.

This Shiraz is a deep youthful vibrant purple. Aromas of lifted blue and dark berry, pepper spice and spicy oak rise from the glass. On the palate is a sophisticated combination of red and darker berries, dark chocolate, oak spice, slippery silky tannins. An elegant wine with great balance, length and intensity.

Wine Making

2018 was an outstanding vintage. The year was warm without being too hot, which allowed the vines to ripen the fruit to the degree we desired without any stress, resulting in all aspects of fruit composition being good. Acid was naturally maintained and other critical components of the grape for sound fermentation were plentiful.
