Our Portfolio
Our cool-climate vineyards, dotted with massive ancient granite boulders, thrive at elevations ranging from 430 to 550 meters above sea level. It is in this unique environment that the style and character of our wines are crafted.
Our white wines exhibit exceptional fruit intensity, minerality, and a light, fresh profile. Meanwhile, our red wines are highly aromatic, possess intense colouration, and offer both power and restraint, resulting in an elegant composition.
Our Region & Vineyards
The Strathbogie Ranges has emerged as a truly distinctive, high-altitude, and cool climate region, helping us produce intense wines that are elegant and full of character.
The rugged and beautiful Strathbogie Ranges are located an hour and a half drive northeast of Melbourne. It is here, in vineyards peppered with massive ancient granite boulders, at elevations between 430 and 550 metres above sea level that the vines from which we source Strathbogie fruit grow.
Microbats: Natural Pest Control
Microbats are tiny insect-eating bats vital to maintaining healthy ecosystems.
Thanks to the generous support of the Coles Nurture Fund, we are pioneering a world-first Project to support microbat populations in our vineyards through targeted navigation support.
The ‘BatNav System’ is a series of interventional structures designed mimic natural landscape cues and subtly steer microbats into pest-rich zones, extending their predation distance and ‘feeding zone’ to increase their feeding efficiency, thus further reducing pest populations in the vineyards.

Our Winemaker and Winery
Our winery is a 15-minute drive from our Cellar Door and Restaurant on the Hume Freeway, located up the hill on Upton Road in the Strathbogie Ranges.
Sitting next to our family vineyards and perched on top of a hill overlooking the central Victoria plains, it is here that we cultivate curiosity.
Our Winemakers apply ancient wisdom to modern winemaking, with a full suite of winemaking tools and gadgetry, including a barrel hall with over 1000 barrels including some that are 140 years old.
Our Farm
Fowles are a farming family, with a rich generational history of farming the land, with livestock, cropping as well as vineyards. We’ve farmed across the width and breadth of Australia and now call the Strathbogie Ranges, Victoria home.
Whether we are farming sheep or wine, the philosophy is the same: grow ethically and leave the land in better condition than we found it.
