Shed Sale – 7th to the 10th of June

Don’t forget to our King’s Birthday Shed Sale in your diary for 2024. This is one of the biggest events for the year where we uncover end of vintage stock, export overruns and some treasure from the museum.

There is something about the Autumn season that makes me think of red wine and wild game.  I’m not sure whether it is the cooler mornings, the turning leaves on the vines or the smell of the first fire at home.  Any way you look at it, it gets me thinking about heartier food and wine.

These circumstances together – the ancient granite, the elevation, the relative absence of moisture during the growing season – have helped us achieve our Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certification which we did in late 2023.

We were thrilled to achieved our Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certification which acknowledges our approach to management in the vineyard and winery.  This certification is recognition for our long-standing commitment to making wine ‘the right way’ and our mantra to ‘farm in nature’s image’.

Vintage 2024 is – without any doubt – my favourite vintage yet. I have now completed 19 vintages in the Strathbogie Ranges. Generally I have enjoyed them all, so it is surprising to feel so strongly about 2024. But Vintage 24 is my favourite for a few reasons…
