Winemaking

Made from Pinot Noir fruit predominantly from our Strathbogie Billi’s vineyard, this wine was crushed and fermented with a Premier Cru yeast selected to enhance forest fruits, spices, aromatic herb notes. The wine was matured for six months in both stainless steal French oak and finished off with a dash of Shiraz (6%). Blending Shiraz adds complex dark fruit and savoury spice notes on the aroma and palate and contributes to the tannin structure.

Nose

Aromas of ripe strawberry and forest berries back by a hint of subtle spice, with an earthy touch of rhubarb.

Palate

Bright strawberries and red plum, followed by tart cherry and rhubarb, with a subtle hint of cardamom. Soft, silky tannins provide a smooth, elegant texture.
