Winemaking

Picked in early March, from our Strathbogie Billi's vineyard, this wine was crushed and fermented with a Premier Cru yeast selected to enhance forest fruits, spices, aromatic herb notes. Matured for 12 months in stainless steal and some older oak barrels. Finally, the wine was blended with a dash of Sangiovese (5%), enhancing the berry and earthy tones making for an enjoyable drop.

Colour

Bright cherry red.

Nose

Aromas of ripe strawberry and subtle spice, combined with forest berries with an earthy touch of rhubarb.

Palate

Fresh strawberries and red plum, followed by tart cherry and cooked rhubarb, rounded of with a subtle hint of cardamom. Soft and silky tannins provide a smooth driven finish.
