Winemaking

The fruit for this wine was harvested using a selective processor in mid April 2018, from our Upton Run block. After being gently crushed, the juice was wild fermented in stainless steel for a complex and fruity wine, then matured with French oak for 12 months to add delicate oak aromas. A dash of Shiraz (9%) was added to the final blend to add some dark berry characters.

Deep red with gamet hues.

Nose

Black and blue berries meld with complex herbaceous notes and sweet vanilla oak.

Palate

Juicy blackcurrant, mixed herbs and sweet oak. Medium bodied with dusty tannins that provide great structure and a tight finish.
